Steph brought this to my attention. An aircraft heading east--the top contrail coming from the tree on the right--veered south. Did the pilot just realize he was headed in the wrong direction or something?

When I was younger we lived 40 miles from Castle AFB. The B-52's stationed there would do practice runs over our high school. You would see a line of 10 or so of them come up from the south, pass directly over the school then immediately turn just like the picture and head back.
