It's Been Real

This is my final post. Shallow Cogitations is done and I'm going to direct my energy elsewhere. Thanks to everyone who dropped by to visit.

****** Update

I appreciate the positive sentiments and I apologize for any disappointment. I also apologize for not providing much of an explanation. I've had some writing ideas percolating for some time now and I going to focus my time on them. I'm going to miss doing this.

Thanks for writing out your cogitations Hank, always thought-provoking and never shallow. Any particular reasons, or just time to move on?

If it's true I for one will miss your posts. They've been thought provoking and funny.

Though I have to say I understand, a blog take a lot of time.

Mine come and go.

Man, I'm gonna miss you sharing your thoughts here. I agree with Jacque - thought provoking and funny on an unusually regular basis.

Have fun with your other stuff!

Wow, this is a bit of a surprising stylistic left turn.

I will miss your stuff.

I will truly miss Shallow Cogitations. I don't know how many times I laughed after reading a post, or I got mad as hell about something stupidly asinine. Thanks for stirring up good emotions Hank.

Sorry to see you go Hank. Reading an announcement like this from a natural blogger like yourself is kind of unfathomable. Good luck with your future endeavors.

Dang! I loved spreading links to your missives about. You've got a gift of insight. The days won't be the same - this has been one of the better parts of work breaks.

Hank,

I agree with everyone else. I have thought about a lot of things in ways I may not have otherwise. I have also laughed hysterically. Thanks so much man. I plan to commute a bunch in spring and summer and hopefully I'll run into you.

If you ever get the urge to write, feel free to drop us a new post on cyclingspokane.

Take care, Hank. I'll probably see you around town again (although don't get me wrong, I'll miss your blog posts too)!

Hank,

THANKS. For providing such a great place to hang out, and for so long.

I know what you look like - so I'll be seeing you around. ;-)

And even though the lights are off, I can still smell the warm blogroll . . . mmmm . . .

MAJOR BUMMER! You are giving up your blogging addiction?!? How can this be? Who now will share my sense of Spokane humor?

If you ever come across something too good not to tell the word about, (and don't want to break your promise of ending Shallow Cogitations) we are always happy to feature you as a Contributor of Honor on the Spovangelist.

Well this is a sucky way (for me) to end the old year. But I hope your percolating ideas lead you through many wonderful adventures. I think you're awesome, and I'll miss your brain... and the updates on your family... and, yes, your juvenile humor.

Hugs,

Shan :+)

Thanks, Shan. I miss my brain, too. :-)

Oh shoot!

Funny (to me) is that I had just gone through and seriously pruned my blog subscriptions in Google Reader, figuring my overuse of "mark all as read" meant I needed to apply some brutal Darwinian honesty.

Yours stayed on my subscription list. Dang.

But since I'm trying to focus my own energies with a little more purpose and discipline I completely understand.
