The 20th century is filled with examples of why people should NEVER go quietly when the state security apparatus comes for them. Chile, North Korea, Germany, almost all the eastern block countries, USSR, many places in Africa. Cambodia. I'm sure I left off a few. But hey it could never happen here right?
I may have quoted this here before but I think it bears repeating.
