Barefoot Bloomsday

Yesterday was also International Barefoot Running Day. A couple of us met for a "group" photo at the fountain in Riverfront Park. That's Janson Sloughter from West Richland. He's been running barefoot for about 18 months. I dig the kilt but I don't know if I could pull off that look. Besides, after nearly 33 years, I've done enough to mortify Kathy. Almost.
During the run I felt great aerobically, but not so much anatomically. My hamstring was still nagging me. Even though I took it easy I thought I was doing pretty well. I ended up with a 1:04:57, which is 3-4 minutes slower than normal but still good enough to keep me in the yellow group next year.

Congrats on your Bloomsday finish and time. I walked this year with my daughter. Will have to run next year if I want to stay in the yellow group with you fast guys.

On a funny note, the two race day photos that are up for you so far at bloomsday.org cropped out your feet!
