Mount Spokane Ride

Stephan asked me if I'd like to do some trail riding at Mount Spokane. Well, of course I would. We got there at the same time as the ranger who waved us in at 6:30 this morning. Parking at the first area after entering the park, we took trail 121 and 120 up to the big parking lot just up from Selkirk Lodge. We hadn't planned on going to the summit but we were feeling adventurous so we took the road up to the top of the mountain.
Stephan is the king of the world!

From there we took trail 140 to the Kit Carson Loop. That's a really gnarly section of trail. Not being familiar with the trails, we got back on the road and coasted down to the parking lot. From there we got on trail 100 and followed that until we ended up on the Kit Carson Loop again. From there we caught trail 110 and returned to our starting point just before 10:00. The climbing--both on the bike and on foot--wore me out. Taking a nap to day.
