Thoughts During The Day

I walked up on a conversation in which the word "placebo" was said. The first thought that came to mind was that placebo sounds like something that would be illegal in Alabama.

While I was waiting for the bus to go home I dropped my ancient iPod. It held 20GB of music and my life will no longer be brightened by its gray-scale display. Now The Killers, Jason Lytle, Dr Hook and the Medicine Show, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Warren Zevon, Tom T. Hall, The Shook Twins, Handel, and so many more wait for me at home. Now you really know what to get me for Christmas, Pat.

Since I couldn't listen to music I had plenty of time to find that the KREM website is mobile device friendly again.

With the return of daylight wasting time we also have the return of that death-defying game of Dodge Car. Pedestrians leaving work and mostly wearing dark clothing try to make it to the opposite curb before impatient drivers run them down. Every once in a while add to the fun. Stop in the middle of the crosswalk and wave a car through.

Anyone who listens to Warren Zevon can't be all bad. I sure miss the old piano fighter/excitable boy.

Zevon ruled. Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner is a classic favorite.
