Yesterday on Cycling Spokane I posted about my bike ride where I stumbled across what seemed to be a "Lion King" themed place on Fairview. I've since learned that these are painted bronze sculptures made by a local artist named Bill Sanders. The Spokesman Review did a piece about him a couple years ago.
Colin Mulvaney did a wonderful video about Bill Sanders which you can view here. According to the video, made almost two years ago, Bill Sanders planned to donate or sell his sculptures. It looks like he has done so since I didn't see some of the sculptures that are in the video. If you want to see what's left, here is where you go. It's a nice bike ride.
